Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.

One of the first tracks I ever made, using Propellerheads Reason software and samples from the Folkways album "The Biological Significance of Voice in Frogs" by Charles M.Bogert.  Charles a renowned herpetologist, recorded frogs and toads in swamps, lakes, woods, creeks, and road-side ditches all over North America.  Many of these sounds will no longer be heard since many wetlands, lakes and swamps have disappeared not just in the USA but globally.  I've always been interested in amphibians and value the habitat in which they live.  I decided to post the track after seeing a review of Smithsonian Folkways Records on Bandcamp with Charles M.Bogert's album being one of the featured records. I created a small video using this track you can view in the video section, entitled 'This is weird'.

Bits and Pieces - is a sample selection of music I made over a number of years as a hobby.  These short tracks were made using a combination of different apps such as Reason, Abelton and Garageband.  A combination of computer synths and analog synths, some sampling, looping and recording.  These seven tracks are probably my most accessible tracks, as I often find I make music for the moment, never spending much time on one track alone.

Peace is a Feeling - I made these tracks a number of years ago.  At the time I was experimenting with making beats set to words spoken by Prem Rawat, someone who I have listened to at various points in my life. I thought it was time to share these tracks.

iPad First Attempts - I made these tracks on the iPad, using a few apps such as iPMC, Garageband and Syntronik.  I made these three tracks during a difficult time, right after the surrounding hills of Ojai had been burned to the ground and the air was extremely poor outside, so poor that I was house bound for over a month.  Two tracks 'Hank Kingsley' and 'Nelson Mandela' represent time spent watching "The Larry Sanders Show' and interviews with Nelson Mandela.  'The End' represents the feeling, somewhat euphoric, after surviving at the timethe worst fire in California recorded history.
