Betty, who has basically known me since I was born, is in her eighties. From the outside if I was to tell people that I was going to stay with an eighty year old women when I landed in the UK, they would probably wonder what the hell was going on there.

Relationships with women have become a memory to me, a thing of the past.  Sometimes I forget the past, hoping that I might meet a free bird like myself, that doesn’t mind what the other person does essentially, as long as they are a stand up human being and share foundational truths about life.

I look over and a women I noticed earlier, attractive, petite, nice vibe, is giving me a big smile, looking me directly in the eyes.  An inquisitive smile from a very beautiful face.  I am surprised and in conversation, organizing a hike with a friend I just met, so I don’t say anything but I note the exchange.  Why is this women smiling at me?  Is it curiosity, attraction, being human, a come on? I better say something and find out.
